Before we start AMA main segment, we really want to know some informations about yourself. Could you do a little introduction for us know better about you?

Sure thing! First of all, a big thank you to all of you who are joining today😀 My name is John and I co-founded Gemie together with my partner, Sunny. My background is in entertainment where I have more than 10 years of experience in it. My partner comes from a media and gaming background, who previously founded an award-winning gaming company. We decided to co-found Gemie becaise we saw that there was a great opportunity for us to shinea light on Asian talents while bringing an unprecedented experience to fans all over the world through the metaverse!
SEGMENT 1
Q1. What is Gemie? What are your mission and plans for the project? What do you hope to achieve?

Gemie is a metaverse platform where Asian celebrities and entertainment IPs can interact immersively with their fans without geographical limitations. Our mission is to bring the entertainment industry in Asia to the metaverse by creating a space where users will be able to have meaningful interactions with their favourite celebrities and artists. We aim to revolutionize the entertainment industry by equipping artists and entertainers the right tools, resources and opportunities to materialize their ideas. We believe that web3 offers a new realm of possibilities for entertainers to have greater ownership of their creativity while brining them closer to their audiences.
Q2. How does Gemie stand out from other metaverse projects?

Good question! There are a number of metaverse projects out there but Gemie is the first and only metaverse platform dedicated entirely to the Asian Entertainment industry. With our team’s expertise, utilility driven NFTs and virtual experiences, we hope to be the home for celebrating Asian Talents, setting us apart from our competitors.
Our team plans to collaborate closely with each of our celebrity and entertainment partners to custom-create planets and NFTs that will deliver the ebst experience and utility for the Gemie community. Our NFTs will be wearable/usable in the Gemie metaverse and will come with exclusive online and offline perks and benefits. Gemie will also offer exclusive access to some of the biggest events - eg. live concerts, hangouts, after parties, movie premiers and more in our metaverse!💫
Q3. Could you share more about the roadmap and what phase you’re in right now? What’s coming next that you’re most excited about?

Sure. We actually have a lot lined up for 2022 and more in the years coming ahead. First, on the product side, our goal is to release a demo room for users and a web portal to our online store in the first half of 2022. At the same time our team is meeting with different Asian stars and entertainment players to find the best partners for Gemie.
We also have big plans to build out our metaverse, focusing on desktop development first then mobile app access. Q4. Can you tell us more about your team and how you plan to execute your vision?

Absolutely! Gemie’s founders, investors and advisors are entertainment, gaming and communications industry veterans. Alongside with a stacked team of experienced tech, design, business development and marketing individuals, we are all working together to deliver what we believe is the top metaverse in the Asian entertainment arena.
And just in case you haven’t heard yet, we recently announced the completion of our first round of funding. The 3.8m will help us accelerate the growth of our marketplace and metaverse. I’m delighted to announce that the Gemie metaverse’s various modules are now being designed and built (eg. Gemie rooms, concert halls, avatars, townsquares etc.) We’ve been circulating a private demo room with the investors and partners first to get their feedback before releasing it to the public, but the responsive so far had been positive! You may have already seen a few screenshots in the last 2 weeks if you follow us on Twitter or are in our Telegram communities.
Additionally, our incubator, Newman Labs has also been an incredible help to us throughout this process as they have quite a lot of experience in the crypto and Web3 space. Last but not least, we’re very lucky to be able to work closely with out investors and partners every step along the way. They provide a lot of feedback (like for our demo room) so that we are able to make things better. We’ve also been able to leverage their connections to meet different crypto and entertainment industry partnes to further the develpment of the platform, bring on more celebrities and improve the overall experience for Gemie users ❤️🙏
SEGMENT 2
Q1. Gemie brings together two great topics that have been growing recently: NFT and Metaverse. So, what are the possibilities that users can have through this? Can artists have their own virtual museum? Also, is specific hardware required for optimal Metaverse performance?
| John
Yes NFTs and metaverses are definitely trending topics right now. For us we’ve seen that many other NFT projects lack strong utility for holders and many metaverse plays are either slow to develop a working alpha or have not thought out a long-term, scalable roadmap. I know that at Gemie, we’re in it for the long haul- BUIDL or bust!
We’re working very hard to design unique utility-focused NFTs with our celebrity partners with a focus on uniue online/offline benefits for Gemie NFT holders. you can expect benefits to include events (eg. concerts, meet & greets, music video premieres) perks (eg. discounts, priority in ticket sales) real world items (eg. props from films, fan merch) and so on… Exact modules on each artists planets will depend on the partnership, but some modules we’re looking to buuld concert halls., town squares and galleries/museums.
In terms of hardware requirements to run Gemie, we are currently building for desktop so as long as you have an internet connection you should be good to go!
Q2. Gemie is a platform for Asian celebrities. What is the requirements do celebrities need to meet to be able to create NFTs in your platform?amd what if NEWCOMERS artist or celebrities wanted to join Gemie. Is it OK for Indonesia celebrities to involves in Gemie too?

Right now, Gemie ahs reached partnerships with some of the major plaers in the entertainment industry in the region. This allows Gemie to bring top-tier stars, blockbuster franchises, KOLs, and other entertainment brands to the Gemie metaverse. For our partners, Gemie will be a one-stop platform to build, expand, and grow their presence in the metaverse. We haven’t announced it officially, but stay tuned for the announcement of our first celeb (think k-pop scene - any guesses?? 🙊)

Q3. What inspired the Gemie team to choose NFT, Metaverse and Celebrities as the core of the project?& what is the reason for choosing the name Gemie itself? there must be a story behind it.

Very good question! I always love to tell the Gemie story😊 Well we believe that the metaverse and NFTs will drive the next wave of growth for the entertaiment industry. Western celebrities like Snoop Dogg and Justin Bieber have already established themselves in the metaverse in the west. However, we have yet to see a strong Asian Entertainment presense in the space. Gemie aspires to to provide the tools and expertise for Asian aftists looking to build and connect in the metaverse.
And I believe you’re the first to ask us about the Gemie name in an AMA 😂 The name Gemie is inspired by the idea of gems. Gems are precious, take time to form, and are cherished as personal belongings. Through Gemie, we hope that both celebrities and fans can hold cherished items that create precious memories, and to be able to display these memories proudly in the metaverse or on social media, like a collection of gems.
In addition, gems come in many different forms and no two gems are the same - each of them is unique. They can be set in rings, pendants, decorations - just like Gemie utility-focused NFTs which can be put to use in the metaverse in many different ways. Q4. Where can I buy your token ? Will it be less expensive or more expensive? Possible all links to all your social media platforms if possible?

We have yet to confirm the platform where Gemie’s token will be sold. We want to release our token in the right way at the right time. The top priority for our team now is to continue to connect with top celebrities in the region and make sure our product development is on trck. We will post more updates on this once things are confirmed - but we are definitely planning on it!
For now, I can give some insight into the token utility. With Gemie tokens, users will be able to purchase exclusive NFTs, room upgrades, decoratives, avatar wearables, and gestures/motions (e.g. dance moves).
Tokens will also be used for the Gemie DAO, so holders are able to propose and vote on decisions for their favorite stars regarding partnerships, releases, events, etc.

Q5. Gemie Raised USD 3.8M For Building Asia’s First Entertainment Metaverse. Will this fund help you to improve and speed up your project development capabilities? And apart from being early investors, will they also offer consulting or partnership role to support project progress?

Absolutely - we are grateful for all the support we have from our investors and the funding will accelerate the development of our marketplace and metaverse. We’re very lucky to be able to work closely with our investors and partners. They give us a lot of support and feedback on all aspects of our business from strategy to marketing to product feedback.
As I mentioned, we are currently designing and building the different modules within the Gemie metaverse. We’ve been circulating a private demo room with investors and partners first but will share this demo with the public soon! Follow Gemie updates on our social pages, but I’d highly suggest keeping an eye on our Telegram groups - a lot of sneak-peaks and Alpha will be dropped here first 😉
SEGMENT 3
Q1. Do the token holders have right to participate in the governance of the project? On what kind of decisions can they vote on about the project?

Thanks for the question @pura_444 - The token holders definitely have the right to participate the decision making process. We are developing a Gemie DAO where the users with certain NFTs or Gemie token are able to vote or nominate on certain decisions regarding their favorite celebrities. For instance Token or NFT holders can vote on decisions of the upcoming events held by their favourite stars, or holders will be able to nominate their favourite stars to be included in certain projects.
Q2. Do you have AUDIT certificates? Or Are you also working to AUDIT your project, to make it more secure, trustworthy and reliable?
| John
Since Gemie is currently at the pre-launch phase now, so we haven’t gone through the audit process yet. While we are still in the process of constructing our product and writing our smart contracts, auditing plays a big part in Gemie’s overall product development. After the launch, we plan to have at least 2 third-party audit companies review all of our codes and smart contracts before releasing anything to the public. We take this very seriously and want to make sure all our users will be able to enjoy Gemie’s full metaverse experience without any worries.
Q3. Is there a provision for presale or private sale? Is there a fixed date for your TGE and how does the token release schedule looks like?

As mentioned in the previous questions, the TGE date and details is still being planned and we will release the Gemie token at the right time. We will also release more information like the token release schedule as soon as details are being nailed down. However I would like to share with you all that we are holding Gemie’s first NFT presale around May-Jun - it’s a very limited presale so please do stay tuned about our latest news and updates and make sure you do not miss anything!
Q4. What’s your main focus right now, are you focused on the community or market/Exchange or the products?At present, which market are you focus on,?

Thanks for your question @Captain_2898 as mentioned just now Gemie aims to provide a revolutionary experience in celebrity engagement through the metaverse - we are certainly focusing on our product development right now. Our team of tech, marketing and business development professionals are working hard day and night to build the metaverse that would provide the most optimum experience for our users. We are also working very hard on reaching partnership deals with various celebrities and entertaiment companies.
