INTRODUCTION

Before we start the AMA main segments, we really want to know some informations about yourself. Could you do a little introduction for us to know better about you ?

Sure, my name is Shane Benjamin I’m the founder of Porta. I am originally a blockchain developer with years of commercial development experience and I had the idea for building a blockchain that would facilitate the transition from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0 and that is when I had the idea to create a DeFi platform for the masses which grown into actually building a blockchain for the masses which is Porta.

SEGMENT 1

Q1. Please tell the community what is Porta in detail ?

Porta means “gateway” in Latin. It is a blockchain project built on Substrate with the goal of giving everyone access to Web 3.0 products with a seamless and easy to understand experience for both new and seasoned blockchain users.

Products such as decentralised finance, non-fungible tokens, peer-to-peer lending and also less common use-cases like social, business organisation, decentralised creator economies and more.

Q2. What is the background behind Porta Project?

We are working on accelerating the transition from Web 2.0 to Web3. We are building solutions that are specifically designed to solve the current friction problem in the blockchain space — which is slowing down the transition.

Q3. As we know, every serious project always have their own roadmap. Could you please explain Porta roadmap and also what phase is currently ongoing?

Yeah we are having a busy 2021! For Q2 2021, we had a successful IDO and plus we raised $1.5 million to build the team and speed up product development.

For Q3 2021, we have put together a great team across Design, Marketing, Community and Development. We will be launching our Testnet this quarter, which is exciting! Plus doing staking, launching ecosystem grants and a Beta program to give people early access to our products.

Looking ahead to Q4 2021, we will be launching our Mainnet and flagship product to get the masses moving over to Web3.

Q4. We are so curious about $KIAN, could you please tell us about $KIAN its total supply, its features, and where we can buy it?

Our current token distribution breaks down as:

Q5. What is Porta strategic plan for the future?

We want to continue to create products that make it seamless for anyone to access Web3. We have our Porta Wallet in development, we are exploring NFTs and definitely make DeFi more accessible to everyone — that could DeFi lending or a DEX.

Can you further elaborate on these 3 features? How are they used in your platform?

Sure, they are the following:
- Porta Network — is our blockchain that provides exceptional experiences for all users
- Porta Wallet — helps you to connect to our blockchain and make transactions
- Porta Connect — simple sign-on solution button that provides you access to a network of DApps and services that integrate with the Porta Network

In the tokenization strategy implemented in the Compount Project you use $KIAN which allow that the balance of every depositor increase! Can you explain in more detail how $kian work to make this possible and what role do they play in the interest stream?

As of right now, we are not building an interest rates DeFi platform so we don’t have any advice on what could possibly compete with the Compound protocol.

initially you launched your project as KIANITE with $KIAN token, why did you change the project to PORTA? will you have new tokens or keep ultilitize $KIAN?

We made the change from Kianite to Porta realise the vision for making everyone benefit from the possibilities of blockchain technology.

Whether you are a builder, creator, investor, enthusiastic about new tech or just someone looking to experience the web in a new way — Porta is building the future today.

Once we have launched our Mainnet, we will share details on how to convert $KIAN tokens to $PRTA tokens.

What are the full ecosystem tools for future identities and data that Porta is creating? With this important data, what areas do you hope to develop and decentralize in the future? What are your plans for this?

We thoroughly believe in a decentralized future — as it gives you all control over your lives. We do intend to launch more DeFi products (lending, DEX etc) to help people around the world to access the power of DeFi.

How do you think with Asia market? Does your team have any plan approach ASEAN which the potential market in crypto, there have many great teams and investors want work and earn money from crypto?

The Asian market is incredibly important to us, we have investors from the region and amazing people from the market in our community. Plus we are grateful to chat with you all today as well!

Q1. Does Porta makes blockchain products accessible to everyone from any part of the world? How does Porta provides great experiences driven to its users?

Our goal is to make Porta a global blockchain that everyone can easily use. We focus on user experience so creating a good an easy to use wallet which makes interacted with Applications on the platform intuative and easy to use.

We believe that design and education makes the difference more than just functionality

Q2. Do you agree that the power of the community will lead your project to grow globally?

I agree 100%. We are nothing without our community and that is why we strive to create a platform that our community wants to use as a opposed to creating a platform that is a means to an end with a very high learning curve.

Q3. Does PORTA have a strategy to attract and expand the user community? Tradeding event creation example

We are working on events and programs to stimulate community grown but also to reward long standing community members that have been supporting the project and that want to continue to help us build the community and the project. Q4. We know “NFT” is really trending topic now in the market. So, How do Your project plan to onboard the development of NFTand How do Your project plan to combine it with “DEFI”??

That is a great question, we plan to work in both these spaces. We have noticed that NFTs have taken a very strong position in the maket and we plane to enter that space by providing products and solution for NFTs. But we do also have ideas around both of them like allowing NFT holders to use them as collateral for DeFi loans for example but we are a way off from there right now. But we are thinking about it 😉

Q5. What feature would you like to add to PORTA’s Usecase in the future ?

We have many ideas around features about facilatating the interactions with our blockchain and we want to do them at the blockchain level as opposed to the smart contract level. Primeraly things that make it easier for the end user. Things like:
- Wallet naming on the network: No more long Hash to send tokens to your friend, they just send you their user name and you send them tokens and that would be built into the blockchain
- Multi-currency transactions: You can choose what currency you want to use to pay your transactions, for example on Porta we would like to allow us to user which ever currency works for the protocol you are using on the network not just $PRTA it could be $PUSD for example. Those are just a few ideas
